Savage O'Donnell Firm Co-Sponsors Local Cycling Team

For the second year, Savage, O'Donnell, Affeldt, Weintraub & Johnson have co-sponsored the local cycling race team, the Tulsa Wheelmen. In existence since 1979, the Wheelmen have been Tulsa's premier race team. In 1999 and 2000, USA Cycling honored Tulsa Wheelmen as "Club of the Year." Family law attorney Kendall W. Johnson, a partner with the firm, races with the Tulsa Wheelmen.

Most recently they have co-sponsored the Saint Francis Tulsa Tough, which is a three day cycling event in and around downtown Tulsa. In 2008, Tulsa Tough became a top ten race event on the National Racing Calendar in only its third year. This year it will be June 7, 8 and 9, 2013.

Friday June 7 will include Men's Category 3, 1/2 and Pro 1 races, and women's Pro 1/2 in the Blue Dome District of downtown Tulsa. Saturday will feature races in the Brady District too numerous to mention here, along with non-competitive rides from kids rides all the way to 127 miles in one day. And there are challenges for folks who are strong enough/fast enough to complete the 127 miles in under 6:00 hours (or 6:45 for women). Sunday the races move to Tulsa Riverparks and feature the famous Crybaby Hill. This cycling event is one not to be missed!

Major sponsors of the Tulsa Wheelmen include Saint Francis Hospital, Information on Tulsa Tough can be found at
