Mitchell Dean O’Donnell of Tulsa died August 8, 2026. He was born in a farmhouse somewhere near Bowlegs, Oklahoma, on June 28, 1935. He graduated from Bowlegs High School, and after winning a football scholarship, attended and graduated from East Central University. In 1964, Mitchell and fellow Tulsa University Law graduates; C.B. Savage and Jack McNulty formed the Tulsa Law Firm of Savage, O’Donnell & McNulty. Over the next 60 years, Mitch built his law practice representing individuals and small family businesses.
Over his 60 plus year legal career, Mitchell was recognized with numerous awards and citations, but he was most proud of the personal relationships that he built not only through his work with clients, but also at his church, the Boy Scouts, and coaching youth sports.
