Firm Bio: Jermiah Phelix

The law firm of Savage O’Donnell Affeldt Weintraub & Johnson is pleased to announce that Jermiah Phelix has joined the firm as an associate attorney. Mr. Phelix is a 2012 graduate of the University of Tulsa College of Law. In addition to earning the J.D. degree, Mr. Phelix was also awarded a certificate in Sustainable Energy Resource Law. While attending TU Law, Mr. Phelix was also a Board of Advocates member and Redbud Classic finalist, Activities Chair for the Federalist Society, and a member of Phi Delta Phi.

Also while in law school, Mr. Phelix co-authored a bill, The Veteran’s Treatment Court Act HB 1555, which unanimously passed the House in 2011. The bill would have allowed the establishment of Veteran’s Treatment Courts in every county in Oklahoma, similar to the one currently operating in Tulsa County.

Mr. Phelix is licensed in Oklahoma, Oregon, and the Federal Northern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Oklahoma. He is also a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Tulsa County Bar Association, and is part of the Mentoring Committee for the Tulsa County Bar Association. He plans to focus his practice on bankruptcy, general civil litigation, personal injury, estate planning, and business litigation.

Mr. Phelix also sits on the Board for the Pearl Street Farmer’s Market, trains at Crossfit TTown, and very much enjoys the river trails and Turkey Mountain Wilderness Area.
